Support Local Businesses with Duck Bucks!

Duck Bucks campaign accepting dollars from donors

Have you been looking for a way to support Estes Park businesses as they recover from recent COVID-19 closures while also spreadingsome Duck Race love?

It’s as easy as calling or emailing ‘Big Duck 2020’ Karen Thompson to make a donation to the Duck Bucks Campaign. Instead of simply asking local merchants to donate prizes for the 2020 Estes Park Rotary Duck Race, the planning committee has hatched a fundraising effort to give back to the merchants. Race fans will still win hundreds of prizes at the Estes Park Rotary Duck Race on Saturday, Sept. 19, but funds for many of the prizes will come from a combination of event budget reallocations and donations from sponsors and Estes Valley residents.

“We want to be sure to include everyone who wants to contribute, though, even if you have not donated in the past, said Prize Committee member Beth Weisberg. “We need your donations more than ever this year.”

The 2020 Estes Park Rotary Duck Race is supporting local merchants who donated prizes in 2017, 2018 and 2019 by purchasing gift cards (Duck Bucks) that winners can redeem at the businesses.

“We encourage community support of the Duck Bucks campaign, because it’s time to show our Estes Park businesses how much they are appreciated,” Thompson said.
